Nickel-Copper alloys combine the excellent corrosion resistance of nickel with the strength, toughness, and fabrication characteristics of copper-based alloy systems. These materials are particularly valued for their resistance to seawater, flowing saltwater, many acids, alkalis, and industrial chemical environments.
Common nickel-copper bar grades include Alloy 400 (Monel® 400 / UNS N04400) and precipitation-hardenable Alloy K-500 (Monel® K-500 / UNS N05500). Alloy 400 provides excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties across a wide temperature range, while K-500 provides significantly higher strength and hardness through additions of aluminum and titanium.
REG Metals supplies Nickel Copper Bars in round, square, hexagonal, and custom-machined configurations. Materials can be supplied with Certificate of Analysis (COA), Mill Test Report (MTR), material traceability, and dimensional inspection.
