Nitinol is a nickel-titanium shape memory alloy (NiTi) known for its unique combination of shape memory effect, superelasticity, flexibility, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and biocompatibility in appropriately processed medical grades. Its properties result from reversible phase transformations between austenite and martensite.
Nitinol Strip can be supplied in superelastic, shape memory, annealed, cold-worked, and application-specific conditions. Transformation temperatures and mechanical properties can be tailored through composition and thermomechanical processing.
